I won’t advertise artists who use stock shots in their portfolio, I don’t feel it is representative of their work. ... 

I picked this up at the airport on a whim along with ‘Ricepaper’. Love it! They look fab together but ‘All that Glitter’s’ is my new favourite out of all my many eyeshadows that I keep reaching for. It’s a beige/coppery, bronze with just the right amount of shimmer to look special but not all sparkly. I think it would suit any colouring, looks gorgeous with a tan... 

Is there such a thing as the perfect glossy lip? Well actually yes.  I’m a massive fan of clear lipglosses, and have been in search of the perfect clear lipgloss for as long as I can remember. In my quest, I stumbled across Dior’s Sparkle Shine gloss and fell in love straight away.  It is the perfect clear gloss, not sticky or gloopy, doesn’t attract strands of hair and then streak... 

I have been using Touch Base for Eyes for well over 10 years.  It is invaluable in my own makeup bag, and certainly in my kit. It’s like a little pot of foundation just for your eyes!  It’s thicker than foundation, but not dry like concealers, neither of which seem to base and set eyes like this does. There is a knack to using it though, and unfortunatley, Clinique counter staff often... 

Until I joined MAF I never used a base for my foundation. Then Smashbox Photo Finish Primer was recommended and I gave it a try. It goes on like silk and really does smooth out the skin, giving a lovely soft base for your foundation! I love the way it feels as you apply it, and it really does seem to fill in those little wrinkles. When the foundation goes on the top, it makes application smoother and... 

They’re the latest ‘technology’ in glitter! so so fine, I call them fairy dust! When you look at the jar of the pearl, gold, and other ‘white based’ reflects glitters, all you can see is the white, with a smattering of the other colour, but when you dust it onto eyes or high cheekbones, you can’t actually see the glitter at all, but you catch a tinkly glittering... 

Oooooh I love it! This reccie comes with a health warning though – like most Benefit stuff it’s really quite pricey (I think around £22 ish). However, I’m a sucker for packaging and this comes in a dinky pink box, and includes it’s own blusher brush (but unless you like the stripey look I’d bin that straightaway). Benefit 10 is in 2 parts, a bronzer and a shimmery pink... 

I saw a review for this in a magazine aaages ago and at £10 cheaper than Benefit’s cheek stain (credit crunch times and all that) I thought I had nothing to lose by giving it a go. JUST THE SAME!!! I cannot find any difference between Benefit’s (which i’ve had a few bottles of) and it stays on all day. I also use it to stain my lips, but that doesn’t last a whole day.  I’m... 

What can I say about this product? I should have been suspicious when the Benefit girl told me ‘one colour suits all’ As a fan of Tinted Moisturisers (I normally use Vichy Lumineuse) I thought I would give this a go. Firstly its very, very watery in consistancy so a little goes a long way…..but this also means it covers absolutely nothing. It went on quite an orangey shade but... 

As a professional makeup artist, it’s imperative to have good hygiene practices.  You simply cannot use a mascara wand straight out of the tube onto someone’s eye, then use it again on someone else’s face.  Shared conjunctivitis anyone? Similarly you can’t use lipstick straight off the bullet onto someone’s mouth, nor liquid eyeliner straight out of the bottle or lipglossdirectly... 

I am a liquid eyeliner girl and have gotten pretty quick and accurate applying them (to myself).  I MUCH prefer a longer narrow dip brush rather than a ‘nib’, and on a daily basis have always used a rimmel one. I don’t know why as it always wore off by lunch time but anyway… I was going out and wanted a bright liner. I ended up at the Gosh counter and found the colour I was...
