Louise Young Brushes

Since I became a MUA I’ve always used a MAC 190 as my main foundation brush and always been pretty happy with that. I have 2 of these, along with about 4 others (Mac and other brands) but have never really been 100% happy with any of them. I’ve found that over the past few months my 190 isn’t performing as well as I’d like it to and last month the head came away from the handle and that was the final straw…

I remember seeing Sam Chapman using a Louise Young foundation brush in one of her tutorials and I liked the look of it, it looked much bigger than the MAC 190 and I liked the idea of using a bigger brush so I treated myself to one.

I’m so pleased with this brush and feel that it out-performs the MAC 190 by a large margin, the bristles are much softer and less dense than the MAC and application-wise it feels amazing and gives such a stunning finish, I will definitely be going on to buy more Louise Young Brushes.

I second the Lousie young foundation brush, I also got her fine eyeliner brush and crease brush. I called her number and spoke to her, she was SO nice to me and gave me lots of advice when i was just started out. The brushes def live up to the hype

I was watching some Pixiwoo tutorials a few weeks back and noticed they used a few of Louise Young brushes. I discovered they were being sold at Bentalls in Kingston. A set of 9 brushes in a brush roll for £60. The brushes are amazing and such good quality – I love them! I don’t know how I ever survived without them

Sam Donald brought a collection of these with her when she came to do a makeup lesson with me, and she kindly let me use them instead of my tatty old brushes that were in the bottom of my makeup bag.

I’ve never used professional length brushes before, and was a bit wary at first, but I found them very easy to use, they sat nicely in my hand, and whether it was Sam’s teaching or the brushes being used, but my makeup has never looked as nice, smooth and well blended!

I’m a brush junkie. We all know that! If I see brushes, I have to have them. I like to physically touch and feel before I buy.

To get my hands on a fantastic collection of Louise Young’s brushes was like a dream come true!

They arrived in the post, securely packaged, each one individually wrapped, and with a stylish handle and logo, they looked great in my brush roll.

Arriving in perfect time for a collection of lessons that I was doing, they came out with me, and were well tested by myself and my students.

They all got a unanimous thumbs up, both from me in a makeup artist capacity, using them on someone else’s face, and also from my students who were using them on themselves.

We all fell in love with the ‘oversized’ foundation brush. I’m a fast worker anyway, but this made foundation application even faster, but without looking ‘slapped on’.

Great range of brushes, and a reasonable price!

I bought the large foundation brush (LY02) after seeing rave reviews by Sam & Nic Chapman and on here. EXCELLENT price for what you get and Louise is absolutely lovely!

I’ll definately be going back for more brushes x

I’ve bought some of these brushes on your recommendation Lauren and they’re really nice. I don’t have many brushes but decided to treat myself for my birthday. I’m getting into makeup now in a big way and want all the nice things so its obvious to have nice brushes too, thankyou :-)
